Sidney V. Lowell (1844-1931) was a Brooklyn lawyer who specialized in prosecuting taxation cases, and also served as Assistant Corporation Counsel of Brooklyn. He was also a lifelong member of the Long Island Historical Society (now the Brooklyn Historical Society), as well as the First Unitarian Church in Brooklyn, located at Monroe Place and Pierrepont Street.
